Sony Ericsson has already licked mobile music with its Walkman range and is on its way to similar success in camera phones with its Cyber-shot brand. But when it comes to fashion phones, the company is almost non-existent. The Sony Ericsson Z610i’s strongest push yet for this segment of the market. The latest mobile telephones from Sony Ericsson are more stylish and come uped with 3G engineering. From music to business organisation oriented handsets the selection is unlimited.
As far as phone designings are touched, the mobile marketplace is deluged with options. Of late, flip telephones are very much in demand. Sony Ericsson has also set uped a series of clamshell contrived handsets and consumers are also considering these handsets as more stylish and user-friendly. One of the latest handsets from the company, the Sony Ericsson Z610i with its stand-out design and high public presentation features has acquired a huge response from the consumers end. Sony Ericsson’s standard mid-range 176×220-pixel display is present and correct. While not the sharpest on the block, it still retains a sufficient level of brightness and detail.
Below this is an accommodating keypad with generously spaced keys and the navigation control setup is responsive and easy-to-use. Dedicated buttons fire up the camera, video calling and task manager so you can access your more popular features almost instantly. There is also a generous feature allocation. The Sony Ericsson Z610i offers 3G, a two-megapixel camera, video calling, a built-in music player and expandable memory facilities. The Sony Ericsson Z610i’s music player is designed around the famed Walkman player and you benefit from some of its trimmings; creating playlists on the move and Mega Bass sound enhancements like most Sony Ericsson music phones, the fidelity is dynamic and rich.
The 16MB of internal memory won’t hold a bean, so it’s down to the MemoryStick Micro (M2) to squirrel away your multimedia gubbins. Full internet surfing is also available via the NetFront browser that neatly scales the web pages to fit the small two-inch screen for easy viewing and navigation. Sony Ericsson W610i Mobile Phone Review
December 25th, 2009
The Sony Ericsson W610i is a music lover’s dream mobile phone. The built-in music features make use of the Walkman concept to make this truly a music focused handset. A sizable 1.9 inch colour display screen is perfect for keeping track of all the music information stored within. The TFT type colour screen has a ultra high resolution of 176 by 220 pixels.
The casing is 46 mm by 102 mm by 14 mm deep and shows off two options of stylish color. Satin black or plush orange choices means that the handset is very eye catching.
The music keys are easy to access but discreet and the stylish and subtle keypad and navigation controls couldn’t be easier to operate. The Walkman motif appears just below the keypad and is proof that this mobile phone remains focused on music.
A 512 MB Memory Stick PRO Duo™ M2™ memory card which is included in the kit means that users only must unpack the kit to begin storing their music.A larger capacity memory can be purchased which increases the phone memory up to 2 GB of storage.
The Sony Ericsson W610i is a proud member of the Walkman music collection by Sony Ericsson. This group includes several high quality music and media oriented mobile phones.
The dedicated Walkman key allows the user to instantly access the built in Walkman music player. Music options such as playlists, equalisers, shuffle, fast forward, rewind and play make each user’s listening habits perfectly expressed on the phone. MP3, AAC and all other popular music formats are supported by the Walkman player.
The sound recording feature makes it possible to record voice recordings easily and quickly. A track identification feature is included and is also quick and easy to use. It works by holding the phone near a speaker which is performing the unknown song. TrackID™ records a few bars of the song and sends it to the Gracenote™ database where it will be identified and the information returned to the user.
Use of the PlayNow ringtones feature allows the user to purchase new MP3 or polyphonic ringtones. The MegaBass feature allows you to adjust the bass to match the style of music preferred by the user.
