Though music has been the forte of this phone, but it does offer something in other features. It is loaded with a video player and a VGA camera. So, you can record all your favourite videos and share all of them with the people you care via MMS. Its intuitive TFT screen provides a compatible platform to watch all the desired stuff. You might not find anything cool in this phone, but it can be your compatible music pal.

Sony Ericsson has refrained itself from slider phones from some unknown reasons. The 3G slider Walkman phone – the Sony Ericsson W850i is a flagship product for the company. As its first slider, the manufacturers could have made many mistakes but it didn’t. In fact the hidden sliding mechanism of the Sony Ericsson W850i is an area where other manufacturers are yet to work upon.

The Sony Ericsson W850i is available in two colour solution. The white model primarily targeted to their female customer base sports a 24 karat gold Walkman logo. The keypad’s funky lighting effects that pulse to the beat of music gives the Sony Ericsson W850i a personality of its own. The phone’s large display that delivers more than 262k colours is one of the best in its category.

Being a member of the Walkman family, obviously music is the forte of the Sony Ericsson W850i . Powered by an upgraded Walkman player v2.0, the phone plays mp3 of various bit rates including the higher ones with the hallmarked clarity and power of a Walkman phone. There is also a stereo FM radio so that you can tune into your favourite station.

Music experience with the Sony Ericsson W850i does not finish with just listening to it. The handset features many useful and fun tools like graphical equalizer, playlist support, MusicDJ, TrackID and MEGABASS. The 16 Mb of internal memory can never match up to the music features of the handset, so a standard kit is shipped with a 1GB memory card that can be upgraded up to 8 GB.
